Maid of Honor
Addie, although she may be bigger, is my "mini me." She is my younger sister by six years. She used to look up to me because I was the cooler older sister, but as I get older I catch myself looking to her to see what the cool kids are doing- what a vicious cycle. The day Addie was born I gained a true friend and for that I am very lucky. Now, on the day of my wedding, you are my Maid of Honor. From taking care of you as a baby, you're now taking care of me on one of the biggest days of my life!
Best Man
We have known each other since we were 5 weeks old, and have grown up and learned together for over 25 years. Almost three years ago, I called him to tell him that he should move to Boise and experience more outside of the town we both grew up in together. We picked up right where we left off, and got to experience Boise together as roommates for over 2 years. From building forts in our backyards and bringing imaginary worlds to life as children, to creating music and supporting each other's dreams as adults, we still do everything we can to make sure the curiosity, and disregard for the impossible we had as kids will never leave. It's still just the beginning, with so much of what we want to create waiting to be built and shared. We will always be brothers, no matter where life takes us.
Bridesmaid
Jordan is Justin's little sister. Jordan followed in Justin's footsteps and moved to Boise to go to Boise State. Because of this, we have been able to grow closer over the past few years. I am so excited to join this family and gain another sister and another friend. From hanging out at festivals and barbeques, I'm happy that we have more opportunities to create more shared memories.
Groomsman
During my freshman year at Boise State, Eli asked if I wanted to hang out in the Downtown area. Excited at an opportunity to meet someone new, I asked where he had in mind. Maybe a cool arcade, or a sweet restaurant. His answer was, "we've gotta climb to get there." I was confused, nonetheless. And since then, I've always known that with Eli, it doesn't matter where we may hang out or go, because it will always be an adventure. Climbing and jumping from building to building in Downtown Boise, that was my first glimpse of the city that would mean so much to me. We've climbed to the top of some of Idaho's tallest and most isolated peaks, and have stood together at some pretty crazy places since that day you decided to show me the town.
Bridesmaid
Megan has been one of my best friends since we were very little. We have only grown closer as the years have gone by. We were roommates for two years during college and I will never forget the great times we had on Lemhi. Although she gets me in trouble more often than not... I know it is going to be a fun time with Meg. She has always been a very good friend to me and I am so lucky to have met her those many years ago.
Groomsman
When Abbie introduced me to the family, didn't want her dating someone older than you. Well... I hope less than a week older is alright with you. From playing in the outfield together on a not-so-good softball team, to winning again with that same team, just different positions, it has been awesome and hilarious seeing how much hard work and sacrifice you've put to making us all play possible. My parents never gave me a brother, but I suppose legally you'll be the closest thing to a brother I never had. And I hope you can say the same. We've fished together quite a few times, and now that hunting season is approaching, I hope that this deer and elk season will be the first of many successful trips in the future!
Bridesmaid
Amelie [pronounced Emily] is my second oldest sister. I lived with Amelie and her daughter McKinley during my second year at BSU. In fact the first time Justin picked me up for a date he picked me up at Amelie's house. Amelie has been a great big sister to me and has shown me a lot about life and marriage. I am very lucky to have such a great role model.
Groomsman
Greg and I met during my freshman year at Boise State, and through our fraternity, we became roommates through my sophomore and junior year. Throughout those two years, and throughout all of the craziness that college and growing up brings, Greg was responsible for countless laughs and good times that I never fail to bring up years after the fact when talking. I actually just chuckled to myself thinking about some of the hilarious memories while writing this. One of the most creative, intelligent, and savvy people I know, you never stop surprisiing me with the new interests and talents that you pick up. From laughing at stupid videos, enjoying the same kind of music and mountain air you can only breath in outside of the city, I'm excited for the next phase that our friendship will bring.
Bridesmaid
Amanda is my oldest sister. Amanda took me to my first concert, Drake Bell. I will never forget thinking about how cool she was. I have looked up to Amanda for all of these years and that still has not changed. Amanda and I also worked together twice so I was able to learn from her there as well.
Groomsman
I had the pleasure of taking in Nate as my "Little Brother" in the fraternity, where the purpose was for them to having someone to learn from, and to ask any questions they may have during the process. But I have learned so much from you, Nate, and continue to learn with every stage of life that we've experienced in the time we've shared in Boise. From having ridiculous inside jokes that nobody will understand if explained, and to having the same hopeless love for the Sacramento Kings, we have helped each other through bad times and good times. Even though our career paths may take us to different cities, I will always enjoy sending and receiving quotes from angsty music and terrible movies. To quote you, "here's to the days that turn into nights, and the friends that turn into family."
Bridesmaid
Jordan Ward has been my best friend since before I can remember. I am so appreciative that I got to grow up with her and experience every life happening with Jordan by my side. From tee-ball to High School softball, we have also been teammates and helped each other grow in so many ways.
Groomsman
While studying to test out of Calculus, my roommate Mallory had friends over. I started talking to one of them seated in my living room, and liked the conversation that I had with the intelligent man visiting. Lucky enough, I was able to have that same guy as my last "Little Brother" through my fraternity, which was crazy. After we both graduated, I reconnected with a former job I had, and when I came in to help out again, I found Micah employed while he studied for Medical School! I saw a pattern. I was able to witness Micah perform medical procedures on patients,, and do research for the medical non-profit we worked for. It has been incredible to have you as a friend, fraternity brother, coworker, and now groomsman! I hope one day, through crazy events, I can one day say colleague!
