One of our favorite restaurants located right on the main street of Golden! The food is great and has a great outdoor patio. Can't get a fresher Coors Light!
New Terrain Brewing Company
One of our favorite breweries with great views of the foothills and close to hiking trials!
Lookout Mountain Park
Drive up to the top of lookout mountain (watch out for bikers!) and enjoy the view or go on a hike from the top. An easy way to see the beautiful views of Golden, with the option to extend the journey on foot into the mountains.
Clear Creek Canyon Park, Gateway Trailhead
An easy, paved trail that travels along Clear Creek.
Tennyson Street
You can't write the script of Abbie and Bryan in Colorado without mentioning Tennyson Street. Just a few blocks from our house, it's loaded with unique shops, breweries, bars, and restaurants. Post Oak BBQ, Hops and Pie, and Call to Arms Brewery are some of our favorites! If you make the trip, be sure to stop at the Berkeley Inn for a Pink Pony.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Check their website for daily concerts and events. The iconic concert venue is free to visit when not in use. Watch out for people getting their workout in by running up the stairs!
Denver Botanic Gardens
For a more tame outdoor adventure head to the Denver Botanic Gardens. Its great way to see unique plants while also getting your steps in. Be sure to check out the lily pads! Cheesman Park is also located right next to the gardens where you can see great views of the mountains and may come across a dog meetup or some grass volleyball.
Odell Brewing Five Points Brewhouse
Located in the River North (RiNo), the "hip" area of Denver hosts numerous bars and restaurants to explore.
