Yes please wear black tie formal, but refrain from wearing black so the wedding party can stand out.
We highly recommended a hotel closer to the port the night before so there are no delays on the day of boarding.

A passport is the best ID document for travel. Make sure yours doesn't expire for 6 months after your cruise ends. Or U.S. citizens born in the US can present a state-certified birth certificate and government-issued photo ID to sail on most cruises departing from the U.S. This is straight from the Royal Caribbean website
