Phong and I met in high school when our Spanish teacher, Mrs. Delgado, sat us next to each other at the end of junior year because we had the lowest participation scores in class. She thought putting us together would help us participate more… it didn’t exactly work for Spanish, but it did change everything for us. We ended up talking more to each other than about the lesson, and that classroom seat turned into something special. Looking back, it feels like there was always an invisible string connecting us. We had actually shared a few classes since 8th grade, but never really knew each other until we were seated together years later. We started dating on 8/12/2019 and have now been together for over 6 years. Senior year became even more meaningful, we were side by side at every football game, homecoming, and even through COVID together. What began in the classroom grew into something that has carried us through some of the most important years of our lives. Over the last 6+ years, we’ve shared so many adventures together. It’s never really been about where we are, it’s always been about being together and enjoying the moments we’ve shared. From two seats in Spanish class to building a life full of memories, it’s been quite the journey and we’re so excited for what comes next!
