Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are requesting formal attire for our wedding — it's the perfect excuse to get dressed up and enjoy a night of dinner, dancing, and celebration! For women, floor-length gowns, formal tea-length dresses, or elegant jumpsuits are all wonderful choices. For men, a suit and tie is requested. As our ceremony will be held in a Catholic church, we kindly ask guests to keep this setting in mind when selecting their attire and choose outfits that are respectful and modest for the ceremony. To help maintain the formal atmosphere of our celebration, we kindly ask that guests do not wear jeans, denim, t-shirts, athletic wear, or overly casual attire. We also kindly request that guests reserve the color white for the bride. Our bridal party will be wearing the color sky blue, so we encourage guests to choose a different color if possible! Most importantly, we want everyone to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy an unforgettable evening with us. We can't wait to celebrate together!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at Sweetest Heart of Mary by 4:00 PM, the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM.

Where should I park?

Answer

For the Ceremony - Sweetest Heart of Mary Parking is available in the church's gated rear parking lot, with the entrance located on Canfield Avenue. Please enter through the gate and park in the designated church lot. Please note that parking is not permitted in the Senior Citizen apartment lot across Russell Street from the church, and vehicles parked there may be towed. We recommend arriving early to allow time for parking and walking to the church entrance. For the Reception - Lovett Hall at The Henry Ford Guests attending the reception should enter The Henry Ford via Oakwood Boulevard and proceed to the Blue Security Gate. Please let the attendant know you are attending the Patouhas-Palazzolo wedding at Lovett Hall, and they will direct you to the designated Lovett Hall guest parking lot. The parking lot is located adjacent to Lovett Hall for easy access to the reception. Once you arrive and park, Henry Ford staff will be available to guide you to the cocktail hour and reception space!

will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! Complimentary shuttle service will be available for guests staying at The Henry. Transportation will be provided from The Henry to Lovett Hall prior to cocktail hour and the reception, as well as return service to the hotel throughout the evening. We plan to offer multiple return trips for guests who wish to leave before the reception concludes. Additional transportation details will be announced closer to the wedding date!

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

In accordance with our church's wishes, we kindly ask that all guests silence and put away their phones and cameras for the duration of the ceremony, including the processional and recessional. This allows everyone to be fully present as we exchange our vows and helps maintain the reverent atmosphere of the church. Don't worry — our photographer and videographer will be capturing every special moment, and we'll be excited to share those memories with you afterward! Once the ceremony has concluded, we would love for you to take photos and videos while you celebrate with us throughout the rest of the evening. A QR code will be available at the reception so that you can easily upload and share your photos and/or videos with us! Thank you for helping us honor the church's request and making our ceremony a meaningful, distraction-free experience!

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Following the ceremony, the wedding party and immediate family will be taking photographs. Cocktail hour at Lovett Hall will begin at 7:00 PM, where guests will be welcomed with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments before the reception festivities begin. As there will be a break between the ceremony and cocktail hour, guests are encouraged to use this time to relax, grab a drink, or explore the area before joining us for the evening's celebration. Guests staying at The Henry may also use this time to check-in (if they have not already done so), freshen up, and take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service to Lovett Hall. We can't wait to welcome you to Lovett Hall for a wonderful night!

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we are only able to accommodate children who are participating in the ceremony, immediate family members, and those otherwise noted on the invitation. We hope this allows everyone to relax, celebrate, and enjoy a fun evening with us. Thank you for understanding!

Can I Bring a Plus One?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate those guests who are specifically listed on your invitation. If a plus one has been reserved for you, it will be indicated on your invitation and RSVP. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!
