Count Down to the Kellys!

Every good fairytale starts at the beginning when a boy meets the girl across the room, their eyes meet, and they instantly fall in love. Our fairytale didn't start that way. Fate decided to make us wait until three years after graduation for our reconnection to begin. At a Stetson football game, we reconnected over two Bud Lights and some really bad football. What seemed like a moment in time developed into a beautiful friendship that with each passing day, each conversation, each meet up to hang out, our friendship grew into something more. It grew and grew until April 9th when Nick asked Abbie to be his girlfriend even though they would be long distance. Abbie was elated even though it took her a long time to be ready. Every weekend they would spend together, and their love only grew with each passing day. They knew early on that they were each other's person, and dreams really do come true.

Nick and Abbie were gifted with an amazing experience to stay at Walt Disney World's Wilderness Lodge Resort. Disney has meant a lot to both Abbie and Nick as they grew up going to the parks. They were so excited to be there and could not wait to stay for the few days leading up to Christmas. Nick had surprised Abbie with a special dinner just the two of them at Disney's California Grill. They went to Epcot during the day with Nick's parents and were stuck in the Soarin' line for almost an hour longer than they were supposed to be. They got off the ride, raced back to the resort, got changed with full glam and headed to dinner in under an hour. The restaurant had beautiful views of Disney World's Magic Kingdom, and they soaked up every minute of the view. During the 4 times Abbie had to go to the bathroom, Nick had planned with the waiter how he would ask Abbie to spend the rest of her life with him. Nick took Abbie out on the rooftop and asked her to marry him. She said yes through the very loud wind of the rooftop. The surprises didn't stop there. Nick had gotten Abbie's parents, his parents, and Abbie's best friend Katie to all be there and surprise her on the dock. They went for celebratory drinks and soaked in all the engagement bliss around them surrounded by the love of their family and friends.
