Our Love Story

From meeting at a wedding to having our own...

We met on September 16th, 2023, and the only reason we remember that exact date is all thanks to our dear friends, Nathan and Emily Peters, who got married that day. And every day we thank God that they did. Kyle was a groomsman, and Abbie was a guest. Later on in the day, Abbie finally had a chance to chat with the bride, and the first thing Emily told her was that she HAD to meet one of the groomsmen, Kyle. Just as Abbie was asking which one he was, the bride got whisked away to greet more guests. Seeing as there were about 10 groomsmen and Abbie had no clue who any of them were, she thought, "Oh well! I guess I'll never know.” As the night went on, a slow song came on over the speakers. Abbie was stepping away from the dance floor when someone came up to her… and asked her to dance. Although taken by surprise, because she did not know this person, she still said yes. Little did she know that he had been working up the "liquid courage" to ask her to dance. As the slow song played, Abbie asked, "What's your name, by the way?" He answered, "Kyle." Wait, what? Abbie thought. "No way! I'm supposed to meet a Kyle tonight," she replied. "Did Emily put you up to this and make you ask me to dance?" Kyle gave Abbie a confused look and said, "I have no idea what you're talking about." Because, turns out, he hadn't had a chance to speak with Emily at all that day. The rest was pretty much history. Turns out, we grew up 15 minutes apart our whole lives, in Taos and Loose Creek, but never knew each other or crossed paths until exactly the right time. We started dating "officially" on November 5th, 2023, at Kyle's house and two years later, on November 9th, 2025, he got down on one knee in the front yard and I said yes! Soon, on October 10th, 2026, we will be married and continue our story as husband and wife.
