Our journey began in June 2025 after Abbie helped lead a youth conference with her sister. Isaiah’s roommate at the time also served at the event and insisted that Abbie and Isaiah (Ike) should meet. We met over coffee, and the rest is history. After a few dates, much prayer, and lots of time spent together in Mechanicsburg, we began dating only two weeks after meeting. Our relationship was quickly put to the test, as Abbie had already committed to pursuing grad school at the University of Florida in August 2025, while Ike remained in Pennsylvania to complete his clinical requirements for DPT school. However, distance and our mutual pursuit of Christ only grew our affection for one another, and by November 2025, Ike proposed to Abbie during her Thanksgiving break visit home. In Spring 2026, Ike was able to secure a clinical rotation in Florida, made possible through the generosity and hospitality of local church members. This season allowed for meaningful growth during our engagement, strengthened by community, shared experiences, and many core memories. Soon after, Ike accepted a physical therapy position in Gainesville while Abbie returned to Pennsylvania for the summer, marking one final season of long distance leading up to the big day, when we will no longer be apart.
