We met on a dating app and went on our first date to a little Mexican restaurant in Magnolia, Tx. The date was more than perfect. Abbie realized that Cody was the man she had been praying for all her life... and it scared her! So she did the normal thing any girl would do in this situation and she completely GHOSTED him! For just a few weeks, they did not speak at all, but Abbie found herself constantly thinking about Cody. She finally decided that she would reach out to him, ONLY IF he didn't comment on her cute selfie she posted on Instagram, (specifically for him to see)! Sure enough, Cody commented and told her how beautiful she looked! Then proceeded to call her out for ghosting him after their date. They went on their second date the very next day, and this time, Abbie never ghosted him again! On July 6th, 2025, Cody decided to pop the question! He set up a girls day for Abbie to spend with her friends, Amey and Daisie, to make sure she'd get dressed up. They had brunch and went shopping all while Cody was spending the day at Abbie's mom's house setting up the proposal with her family. Abbie had absolutely no idea. Cody came and picked her up from her friends, then they both went to a nice dinner. Afterwards, to Abbie's knowledge, they were going to her mom's house to celebrate her Mawmaw's birthday. They walked inside, and the house was filled with candles EVERYWHERE! Abbie was in shock. Her first thought was that her family left her out of a surprise for Mawmaw, but then it hit her. He was about to propose! They walked through the house to the backdoor where there was the most beautiful set up of string lights, a white flower backdrop, and rose petals on the ground. Abbie was hysterically crying at this point LOL. Cody led her to the backdrop and said the most beautiful words to her, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him! It was everything she had ever dreamed of. And she said YES!
