Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Abigail Benson and Brett Lively
Abbie is so excited for you to fall in love with the City of Buffalo that she made a list of her favorite activities & restaurants
Canalside

Canalside

44 Prime Street, Buffalo, NY 14202
, (716) 436-7100

Walk alongside Canalside. Here you can see an original lock from the Erie Canal, as well as stopping to grab a drink at River Works or Liberty Hound. You can take the Queen City Bike Ferry to Outer Harbor to bike around. You can quickly spend hours here, but don't leave without taking a picture with Abbie's favorite, Shark Girl!

Best View of the Falls

Best View of the Falls

Niagara Falls, NY 14303

Those living out of town, often believe that to see Niagara Falls, you must be on the Canadian Side. Think Again! Visiting Goat Island allows you to get up close to all three components of Niagara Falls – Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and American Falls. Goat Island is a beautiful 1.5 mile walk where goats actually once lived. I mean the terrible winter of 1780 did kill them all, but the name stuck.

Place to Run before the Wedding, Delaware Park!

Place to Run before the Wedding, Delaware Park!

Buffalo, NY

Where Abbie trained for the Buffalo Marathon. You can run a big loop around Delaware Park then grab coffee down Elmwood Ave for a pre-event workout!

Forest Lawn

Forest Lawn

1990 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14208
, (716) 309-4513

If you're into something spooky mixed into history, then Forest Lawn is for you. Great place to learn the history of Buffalo and pay our respects. We even have some of Buffalo's famous residents residing here. These include president Millard Fillmore, Chief Red Jacket, musician Rick James, and civil rights legend Mary Burnett Talbert.

Home of the Chicken Wing: Anchor Bar

Home of the Chicken Wing: Anchor Bar

1047 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14209
, (716) 883-1134

All started when Frank & Theresa's (the owners) son came into the bar after a few too many. To quiet Dominic up, Theresa fried up the wing of chicken paired with a secret sauce. Soon, Anchor Bar became popular across town for their chicken wings. Yes you can taste test chicken wings throughout the city, however, this is the place if you want to experience the invention of wings!

Gabriel's Gate

Gabriel's Gate

145 Allen Street, Buffalo, NY 14201
, (716) 886-0602

Best wings in the city of Buffalo. The wings there held a sense of authority that every other wing in the world aspires to be. Also a great bar that is open till 4 am :)

Bar-Bill Tavern

Bar-Bill Tavern

185 Main Street, East Aurora, NY 14052
, (716) 652-7959

Best wings right outside Buffalo in East Aurora. Stop by, you may even see Buffalo's biggest celebrity, Josh Allen. East Aurora has many small shops & restaurants, down the street where Abbie grew up in Elma, NY.

Great place to grab food & a drink while relaxing on Canalside. You can even zip-line through a shark's mouth, straight into a brewery. If you want a more relaxing activity, rent a kayak.

Eternal Flame Falls

Eternal Flame Hiking Trail, Orchard Park, NY 14127
, (716) 858-8355

Probably one of the coolest hikes, a natural gas leak behind a water fall allows an eternal flame. Great way to see the landscape & get your steps in if you needed to work off parting till 4 am!
