We "officially" met in the corner of Govenor's Pub in Bellefonte after talking to one another while Kyle was in Rhode Island. Abbie knew from the moment she met Kyle, he was the man she was going to marry. Kyle says the same about Abbie but Abbie thinks he just says that to appease her. Kyle asked Abbie to be his girlfriend outside of the Bellefonte Wok on November 7, 2015. [If you haven't noticed, food plays a major part in this relationship.] From that moment, Abbie knew this was going to be her forever and Kyle, most definitely, thought the same.
Kyle asked Abbie to take a long weekend trip over the Memorial Day holiday to his family's camp in Port Kent, New York. After hearing about camp since the beginning of the relationship, Abbie was thrilled. Arrival to camp on May 23 seemed no different than any previous trip and all events leading up to the big question were as normal as any other day. The only oddity was Kyle's eagerness to take selfies which was what lured Abbie down to the coast line of Lake Champlain. Walking towards the water, Abbie found a piece of "lake-glass" - she bent down to pick it up, turned around to show Kyle. To Abbie's surprise, Kyle was down on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hands and asked "Will you marry me" which was obviously returned with a gasp and an outstanding "YES!" Abbie, of course, cried while obsessively hugging and kissing Kyle then celebrated by doing what we do best, enjoying delicious Italian cuisine!
