Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

August 20th!!! After this date our guest count will be shared with vendors and we will not be able to make changes.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to limited seating. We hope you are able to join us anyway and enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and family!

Question

What is formal / cocktail attire?

Answer

We’re asking our guests to dress in formal or elevated cocktail attire - dresses and suits please. Tuxes/ball gowns are not necessary! The ceremony is on grass so please be cautious about pointy heels. We know this is Colorado and some if you will be fresh from a hike, but please no athleisure, sneakers, or denim (jeans or jackets). Here is a helpful guide and please do not hesitate to reach out to us with questions! https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Given the limited seating at our venue, we have restricted plus ones to those we have met and spent time with. If you received a plus one, their name is on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What is the altitude of Aspen? What does that mean for me?

Answer

Downtown: 8,000’ Maroon Bells hiking area: 9,500’ If you’ve spent any time with Abbi or her family, you know we’re big on encouraging (annoying people about) avoiding altitude sickness: -Drink a LOT of water, especially the day before and on your way up to Aspen! -Remember alcohol & other substances will be felt more strongly at altitude. Ask Abbi for an example, ask Ali for the medical reason why. -Exercise will feel harder - there are many great walking paths around Aspen. Try these before letting Alex take you up a high mountain! -Electrolytes and Advil are your best friends. !! Why should you do your best to avoid getting altitude sickness? The only cure is going back down :(

Question

Why Aspen?

Answer

Abbi grew up going here with her family every fall for Ali’s gymnastic meets. Abbi and Alex have birthdays only a few days apart (Oct 2 and Sep 29), and we’d go on a hike in the Bells to celebrate. (Fun fact: Alex also came here on many birthdays growing up - including his sweet 16 and his 21st! If you look hard at the wedding you’ll find some of these old gems) Nate and Abbi have been on multiple backpacking and backcountry ski trips here (that’s right, Nate skis now!). He instantly fell in love with the area too - and yes, often compares our treks to Frodo’s journey to Mt. Doom)
