Smith Rock State Park
Whether you take a walk along the Crooked River or brave the infamous Misery Ridge hiking trail, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of volcanic rock cliffs, rock climbers, and maybe even a golden eagle! Located about 25 miles north of Bend.
First Street Rapids Park
Michael and I loved walking to this rapids park when we lived downtown. It has multiple pools to cool off in on either side of the river, the sound of the rushing water is magnificent, and you can watch swimmers, kayakers, and surfers navigate the rapids.
Drake Park & Mirror Pond
We used to take nightly walks through this park in downtown Bend. It is beautiful, a great place to stand up paddleboard or kayak, and holds a really special place in our hearts!
Carnaval Mexican Grill
Our favorite restaurant in the area. Absolutely fantastic Mexican food!
Grace and Hammer: Holy Pizza
Wood-fired pizza restaurant in a historic church building. Really cool place with awesome service!
BOSA Food & Drink
House-made pasta, beautifully executed service. Highly recommend. We went for our last anniversary!
Monkless Belgian Ales
Belgian Brewery and brasserie overlooking the river and the Old Mill District. Always a good time!
