Saarth and I really found love in a hopeless place, in an AGR Fraternity party, surrounded by camo and boots and poorly hung string lights. Both of us had other places we'd rather be. But instead of bailing, for some strange and mysterious reason, we stayed at a god-forsaken and mud covered establishment. And we met each other. We hit it off immediately, and spent almost every evening cooking together and watching Downton Abbey. For about a year, Saarth and I went on road trips, hosted parties, pulled all-nighters studying, and cooked hundreds of meals before we went on an extravagant trip to Vegas in December where Saarth and I decided to spend the rest of our lives together.

On December 17th, our 1 year anniversary, Saarth took me to Vegas’s Nobu for dinner. Little did I know he had been coordinating with the manager a suprise. After we were seated, Saarth told me he got us a tour of the kitchen with the chef. Amazed, I followed Saarth through a hallway and into a side cooridor where the manager was waiting. Saarth got on one knee and signed his proposal while the chef exclaimed, “better say yes!”. And I did.

As we all know, we are in the midst of a pandemic. Plans have been changed, flights have been cancelled, and relationships have been broken. Just kidding. Saarth and I are doing well in spite of a global stay-at-home order. If you don't know already, we got married in our backyard this Spring! We are now Mr. Saarth Bhanot and Mrs. Abbey Ragan-Bhanot! *UPDATES* We recently made the hard decision of canceling our reception party to ensure the safety of everyone. We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the kind gifts and warm regards for our next chapter. Thank you for celebrating our marriage with us however you choose.

Before Covid-19, we had planned to have an intimate ceremony in Italy with our close family on May 29th and a reception following for our friends and family in the States. Now we are (hopefully) planning our Italian vacation / intimate family gathering for next summer! We want to thank everyone who has encouraged us with sweet advice and friendship, loved us unconditionally, and supported us by simply being there or cooking food with us.
