It’s happening, we’re getting married!! There’s one rule… we're dancing all night

We met on a random Wednesday night at Mallards Bar in 2021. Marty was an out of towner, while Abbey was highly encouraged by her boss and bar owner, Jana, to come out. Marty was immediately interested by Abbey’s personality, humor, and the one text she sent, “Sunday church at 10am”. Little did Abbey know that was a nudge from God, and something that Marty needed. From then on Marty put in full effort, Marty never stopped pursuing Abbey. Marty was a true gentleman, a jack of all trades, a hard worker, a Christian man, and absolutely everything Abbey had been praying for. The relationship began as long distance, and that's what made the relationship stronger. We only saw each other every other weekend. Abbey soon met Marty's parents and took her first trip down to Southeast, MO. Next during Joshua’s birthday dinner, Abbey introduced Marty to her family. This was a big deal, starting her first relationship. Meeting the families went better than expected. From there the love grew quickly and we fell for each other fast. Oddly enough, Abbey asked Marty, "when are you going to make me your girlfriend" and we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. It wasn't long after we were saying I love you. It was now becoming extremely difficult to be apart for 2 weeks at a time. Abbey took the next biggest step in the relationship, meeting the kids. Abbey was introduced to four children, Max, Miles, Beckham and Kennedy. That weekend was pivotal, so much love was added to the relationship. We were then able to see each other every weekend at this point, Marty drove to Abbey one weekend, and Abbey drove to see Marty and the kids the next. Our love grew and grew every single day, so much that is was time for the next move. Literally though, end of 2021 Abbey moved four hours away from her hometown down to a small town in Southeast MO. It all had gone per plan, but Abbey's mom warned her that it would only get harder and more real… Within our first year of living together as a couple a lot of things happened, both heartbreaking, happy, sad, exciting, joyful, difficult and confusing. We experienced every single emotion and went through some things that some may never experience in their lifetime. But we experienced them together as a couple and got through many challenges that ultimately made us stronger than ever imagined. Fast forward to January 7th, 2023 Marty asked Abbey if she'd like to go on a spontaneous weekend trip, Abbey was planning places in driving distance but Marty had a full plan in place. We flew to Tampa, FL and with the help of my best friend Morgan who scored us a last-minute reservation at Bern's Steakhouse. Marty proposed in the dessert room and I, Abbey, was completely shocked and surprised. So, that brings me here, creating my wedding website and planning all the things. It’s a very exciting time and I am so thankful for everyone who has supported us and sends their love. This is only the beginning of our love story and I wouldn't change it for the world. As we both always say, I love you forever and always, and even after.
