Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is black tie optional! For the men, think black tuxes or suits. For the ladies, don't be afraid to wear floral or vibrant colored gowns or midi dresses! Block heels may be preferable due to the grass.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please make sure to arrive no later than 3:45pm in order to give yourself time before the ceremony starts. If you are planning on driving, please add an additional 10 min to give yourself time to park.

Is there parking available for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! For the ceremony, there is a small parking lot behind the church. There is also street parking along Washington & Piccadilly Street. There will be plenty of parking available at MSV for the reception.

Will there be transportation available?

Answer

There will be shuttles available from both the George Washington and the Courtyard Marriott to bring guests to the wedding and the reception. After the reception, one shuttle will drop guests off by The Monument and The George Washington while the other shuttle will take guests back to the Marriott. There are also plenty of Ubers available downtown for anyone staying elsewhere!

Where should I go once I get to MSV?

Answer

The reception will take place in the Glen Burnie Gardens at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. Once you are parked, you will go through the garden entrance that is located to the left of the museum. There is a small, red gate house that marks the entrance to the gardens!
