Our Story
Gareth was born and raised in Saint Catherine, Jamaica, nearly 2,000 miles away from Abbey's hometown, Tomah, Wisconsin. Through his University, Gareth was accepted to the Work & Travel program. He was randomly selected to work at Jellystone Park in Warrens, WI, Tomah's neighboring town. Gareth fell in love with Jellystone his first season in 2016, and returned his remaining 3 summers of the program, and visited the park every summer after, as well. Little did Gareth know that, while he was enjoying life with his new friends, he would also meet the love of his life, Abbey. Abbey’s first ever job was lifeguarding at Jellystone, and on her first day she attended training with a loud Jamaican who she thought was a little funny and kind of cute. The two were friends the first couple years they knew each other, until the spark between them came alive and they were inseparable. Flash forward 5 years from their first encounter, the future newlyweds patiently count down the days until “I do”.
