Get in a nice hike while you're in town! The North section is a great place for an afternoon hike or trail run. Head across the street to the South section for even more trails - but watch out! Mountain bikers are on this side.

This is the best sandwich spot in Durham. Yes, there will be a long line. Yes, it goes by quicker than you think. Yes, it is worth it!!
Durham Farmers' Market
You can find Elizabeth (and often several other Atwells) here almost every Saturday morning. The market is open until noon. Come and taste some of what makes this region so great.
Aaktun Coffee, Restaurant and Bar
Executive chef and two-time James Beard semifinalist Oscar Diaz has brought Durham another culinary treasure. Aaktun has a coffee shop (with KILLER breakfast sammies) and a gorgeous restaurant featuring Mexican fusion dishes and excellent cocktails. This arts & crafts store sources all supplies secondhand, and has a thrift store by the same name next door. It's a really fun way to kill some time!
