Our story began in seventh grade, when we first met as kids who had no idea where life would take us. We were on and off throughout the years, but our connection never really went away. By senior year, everything fell into place and we made it official. He proposed during a trip to Florida to visit his family. A trip I thought was just a sweet getaway. He told me we were going on a picnic, so I had no idea what he was really planning. He took me to Gemini Springs, where he led me to a beautiful weeping willow tree. Waiting underneath it was the most perfect setup: a charcuterie board and a vase of fresh flowers. Before I even had time to take it all in, he looked at me with that nervous, excited smile, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. It was thoughtful, romantic, and so perfectly us. It will forever be a moment I’ll never forget.
