Getting & Staying Here

The Wedding Website of Abbey Winkelman and Ashley Miller
We're so excited to have you join us in our of our very favorite places! We know it may seem like Martha's Vineyard to hard to get to, but we promise it's easier than it seems! All wedding festivities will take place around East Chop, so we recommend you stay in Oak Bluffs. There are a number of places to stay and ways to get to the island and we hope this information helps as you navigate your stay!

Travel Note

Ferry Information

The most common way to get to the island is via Steamship Authority ferry from Woods Hole. The ferry is 45 minutes and takes you from Woods Hole to either Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven. The Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven terminals are only a 10 minute drive from each other so pick whatever ferry time and location works best for you! You can drive your car onto the ferry (requires advanced reservation) or you can walk on as a passenger (no reservation needed). For walk-on passengers, parking is available for a daily fee at Palmer Lot in Falmouth, and passengers are transported to the ferry terminal in Woods Hole via Steamship Authority shuttle (15 min transfer time). Car Ferry Reservations from Woods Hole - steamshipauthority.com Passenger Ferry Tickets from Woods Hole - app.steamshipauthority.com **If you will be bringing your car over, we highly recommend booking your car reservation early to guarantee space on the ferry.** Additional passenger only ferries: Island Queen from Falmouth - islandqueen.com Seastreak from New Bedford - seastreak.com

Flight

Martha's Vineyard Airport

JetBlue, Delta, and Cape Air all have flights to Martha's Vineyard, although offerings may be more limited in October as we enter the off-season. MVY Airport is a 15-20 minute cab or Uber ride to Oak Bluffs.

House Or Rental

House Rental Options

Airbnb, VRBO and Martha’s Vineyard Rentals can offer more cost effective options for your stay on the island depending on how many people you are choosing to stay with. We recommend searching in and around the Oak Bluffs area when looking for rental homes on the island, especially if you don't plan on bringing a car over with you. Be aware that when you search Airbnb and VRBO, they may show homes that are not actually on Martha’s Vineyard. So before booking, please make sure you check the map and are in fact staying on the island! airbnb.com vrbo.com marthasvineyardrentals.org weneedavacation.com
