as two become one

Most of you have heard the beginning of our love story, but for those who have not or those who just want to hear it again, here we go. Amber and I met at work while at Mercer University. We both worked for Rec Sports at the time as intramural supervisors. Amber was technically my superior at the time but our work chatter brought us closer. Amber invited me to dinner one night when our games got cancelled, but I of course thought that it was just a "friendly work thing" while she was hitting on me. While Amber had a crush on me, I was totally oblivious. It wasn't until a little liquid courage allowed us both to admit our feelings one fateful night.....more than four years later here we are!

Neither of us are from Savannah and we are often asked why we chose this city as out wedding destination. Well, it's because of the little things. We happened to venture to Savannah on a last minute Valentine's day getaway. It was one of our first little trips together and Savannah captured our hearts. I (the vintage lover) appreciated the architecture and historic beauty of the city. Amber (the foodie) loved all the tasty treats that we could explore. The culture and love that is in Savannah has called us back many times in our relationship and acted as our little slice of paradise close to home. Plus the willows are to die for! We decided that for a place we both love so much, it should be celebrated. We hope our family and friends fall in love with it as well!

During a cabin trip with family, Abbey had the idea to surprise Amber with a proposal, as it was assumed Amber would be the one to pop the question. Abbey convinced Amber to take a small hike with their dog Wylie. During the hike, they stopped at an overlook by a stream. Abbey pretended to let Wylie take a rest, but really took the opportunity to ask the big question!

On the night of Amber's corporate Christmas party, the couple were getting ready at a quaint airbnb. Singing, dancing, and acting their typical goofy preparing for the night. As Abbey turned around Amber popped the question, saying that she wanted to wait but could not any longer...this was the perfect moment!
