Our story began abroad in Jamaica. While attending a destination wedding, we locked eyes on the very first day—and from that moment on, everything changed. One of the first things we discovered we had in common was our love for travel. We embraced our long-distance relationship, meeting in places like Chicago, Las Vegas, Arizona, and beyond, each trip becoming a new chapter in our story. Over the years, our adventures continued, but our greatest one has been building a life together in Dallas. It’s where we brought Cali home, made meaningful friendships, celebrated graduation, planned trips, grew in our careers, and most importantly, where we said “I do.” We feel incredibly lucky—not only to be in love, but to be best friends. And we can't wait for all that's ahead.
How did you two meet? We met at a wedding in Jamaica. Where did you get engaged? We got engaged in Sal, an island in Cape Verde. The backdrop of the proposal was the Pedra de Lume salt crater, which was a large salt pool. What’s your most memorable date? Our most memorable date was going on ATV rides through the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. What’s your favorite activity to do together? Yoga on Sundays. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Our first destination was Lisbon. Then we headed over to Italy and visited Rome and Positano on the Amalfi Coast. What’s the best meal you’ve had together? In Lisbon on our honeymoon, we took a cab to a restaurant and found out they were about to close when we got there. So we walked around a bit and found a small local eatery and decided to eat dinner there. We had the best octopus and chorizo there, and it was one of our favorite meals we’ve ever shared. What’s the most memorable trip you’ve taken together? Our most memorable trip was to Greece. We visited Mykonos and Santanori where we ate the best food and experienced breathtaking views. Who takes the dog out in the morning? Abbaya on weekdays & Steph on weekends.
