What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. For example: Women/girls can wear a nice cocktail dress or sundress. Men/boys can wear nice slacks and a button-up shirt/polo.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at The Golf Club of Bucyrus (attached to Old 30 BBQ) behind the cart barn. We will have signs to direct everyone. The reception will be held across the street at the VFW.

Where should guests park?

Answer

We recommend that you park across the street from Old 30 BBQ at the VFW since we will be ending our night there.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside and the reception will be inside.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bride and groom will have some time to themselves for about twenty minutes. We will then do group pictures with our family and wedding party. The guests are more than welcome to go to the reception location to get drinks and finger foods started while they wait. They can also get drinks at Old 30 BBQ or Baker's Pizza uptown on North Sandusky Ave.

The reception starts at 5 P.M.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

No. Our colors are black, plum, and lavender.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

Please make sure you R.S.V.P. even if you can't make it. We would like to hear a yes or no from each of our guests.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The Groom, Groomsmen and Ushers will all be greeting and seating people at 1:15. We will start playing mood music at 1:30. The Groom and Groomsmen will start getting into position at 1:45 and the ceremony will start at 2.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome but we also ask that you consider this a "date night" if you can, if not, we are more than happy to see your kiddos!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

You are more than welcome to bring a date but please include this date in your R.S.V.P., do not decide to bring a date at the last minute.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block for guests. We recommend the Hideaway Country Inn, Holiday Inn Express & Suites or Quality Inn located in Bucyrus.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do we have to mail back RSVP or can we do it online?

Answer

The deadline for RSVP is August 10th. We do not have a mail back RSVP. You can either RSVP through this website, email becomingthehintons@gmail.com or text only 419-569-4041.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered at Zola, Amazon and Bed Bath & Beyond.

Will there be transportation to/from the hotel?

Answer

No, there will not be transportation provided.

COVID-19

Answer

You are more than welcome to wear a mask to the ceremony or reception, we will also have some disposable ones on hand. There will be hand sanitizer and wet wipes available to sanitize hands along with the option of disposable gloves.

Do I need to bring cash?

Answer

We will have free drinks, there will be a bartender that would gladly accept tips but it is not mandatory. We will also be hosting a dollar dance if you would like to participate.

Will there be assigned seating?

Answer

We will not assign each individual seat to everyone but we will be assigning tables. Please email us at becomingthehintons@gmail.com if you RSVP on the website and not all your family names are listed. Thank You!
