Welcome to the start of our forever!

Abby & Frank meet through a huge industry event right here in Orlando called IAAPA! Towards the end of the week, Abby, an ambassador volunteering at the expo, was scanning attendees into an Education session. Frank, an attendee, decided last minute to join the education session a little late and laid his eyes on the most beautiful girl in the world for the first time (Abby). BUT Abby did not remember seeing him (sad face emoji). Later in the day there was another event called Career Slam, which is essentially like speed dating, but speed networking, and Frank was a speaker! This time Abby showed up late and was given the list of people she would network with. Guess who was in the line up? Frank! After the event, we actually talked for a while just getting to know each other. Come Saturday, Abby and a large group of ambassadors, and some of their friends went to SeaWorld, and guess who else was there: Frank! We got to ride a couple of coasters together and got to know each other more. A few weeks later in December, Abby came back to Florida for an impromptu trip. Abby reached out the Frank via Facebook Messager asking if he was free and wanted to go to Fun Spot, but it happened to be a day the park was closed. Frank felt bad and wanted to meet up, so after the trip, he messaged Abby asking how her trip was. Abby, notorious for not checking Facebook Messager, did not answer until 6 weeks later (lol). In the meantime, Abby was on Frank's heart, and followed her on Instagram, and they liked each other's most recent posts. When Abby finally answered Frank on Facebook Messager, they sparked conversations about Erie's spectacular sunsets, roller coasters, music, and other mutual interests. After a few weeks of messaging & snapchat-ing, Frank was smooth and got Abby's number by wanting to FaceTime to show each other the sunset but us that day. From that day forward, we FaceTimed every single day. Each day we learned so much about each other, and in April, Abby made a bold decision to come back down to Orlando and visit Frank. The 5 day long first date started with visiting Disney World to ride the new Tron coaster, going to concerts at Busch Gardens & SeaWorld, visiting church, and watching the sunset on the beach. It was literally perfect, and we knew from that moment, this was the start of the rest of our lives together.

Since Abby & Frank met at an industry event, Frank wanted to pop the big question at another industry event to make their story full circle. Abby & Frank had plans to attend the Golden Ticket Awards - an annual event that awards the best in the industry, like best new attraction, best new water ride, best theme park, etc. The event, held at a different park each year, took place at Dollywood in Tennessee. An idea popped into Frank's head: to propose at the Golden Ticket Awards and present Abby with the ultimate award: a golden ring! Frank picked out a ring (thankfully Abby gave some hints) and snuck the ring on the plane to Tennessee! Their day was full of excitement: a behind the scenes tour of Dollywood, a lot of roller coasters, delicious food, and a mini surprise concert from Dolly Parton during the award ceremony! Later in the evening when they arrived back at the private cabin, Frank told a confused Abby they forgot to announce one winner. Frank got down on one knee and presented the ultimate golden ticket award: a golden ring for Abby! Abby & Frank were the ultimate golden ticket award winners and opened a pathway for love and joy that will last the rest of their lives!
