We met on the job—though if you ask Aaron, she’ll tell you we met at a drug house. (Don’t worry, it was work-related!) Our first conversation was memorable, mostly because Aaron asked Josef a question and got a blank stare in return. In his defense, it was his very first day of police training! After some time and a few not-so-subtle hints from Josef, we finally made it to our first date—and the rest is history. Since then, we’ve bought a home, adopted our chaotic little sidekick Ellie (aka Beans), and travelled together without losing our passports—or each other. One of our favourite escapes is Lac-Beauport, Quebec, where we cozy up in a mountain cabin. It was during one snowy getaway that Josef popped the question, turning a favourite tradition into an unforgettable memory.
