In the Summer of 2015, Aaron and Chelsea first met at a mutual friend's birthday party. They got into a lovely and lengthy conversation, and at the end of the party they said "nice to meet you" and went their separate ways. Life took them in exciting directions, but nothing could have prepared them to meet exactly two years later at that same mutual friend's birthday party! Aaron saw Chelsea had arrived and walked right up to her, attempting to pick up right where they left off. It may have taken Chelsea a little bit longer to remember where she knew Aaron from, but thats neither here nor there :) Quickly, the conversation seemed familar only this time, there was an obvious spark and chemistry. Aaron wasn't going to let Chelsea get away this time! After the party was over, he asked her to go to dinner followed by a rooftop party. While this might normally make Chelsea a bit nervous, something felt different. The more hours that went by, the more fun they were having. Just as Chelsea was ready to head home, Aaron said a bunch of his friends were at "this bar, Alphabet Lounge" not knowing it was one of her favorites! They danced the rest of the night away, and haven't stopped since!

In January of 2019, Aaron and Chelsea decided that they would go to Italy on their vacation that Summer. This would be the first time that Chelsea would return to her favorite place in the world since studying abroad there. Aaron knew there was no better place to pop the big question! After months of planning, they were on their way. While on their journey, Aaron offered to carry Chelsea large duffle bag and have her carry his smaller backpack. Little did she know, she was carrying her engagement ring from New York to Italy! After an exhausting day of travel of literally planes, trains and automobiles, Aaron and Chelsea arrived in their little slice of heaven in Cinque Terre. Aaron couldn’t wait a second longer and put the wheels in motion as soon as they got to the hotel. While Chelsea was unpacking, Aaron went to the front desk and share his plans. When he returned to the room, he suggested having a glass of prosecco before going to dinner. They’d earned it after almost 24 hours of traveling! Aaron invited Chelsea out to their private terrace with a picturesque view of Monterosso and the Mediterranean Sea. He looked at her and asked, “Should we toast to our future?” and went back inside to call the front desk. “It’s time” he said. When the concierge arrived at the door with their prosecco, Aaron put the ring box in his pocket. He followed the concierge out onto the terrace, looked at Chelsea and was overcome with emotion. He kissed her, dropped down on one knee, and said “You know how we always talk about spending our lives together? Let’s make it official.” After processing what was happening, Chelsea replied ecstatically, “Of course!!!”
