We met in 2014 when friendly Aaron approached Briana at a graduate student welcome event at Michigan State University. Our conversation flowed effortlessly as we bonded over our love of poutine. We quickly became friends and started spending our time going to Pinball Petes and star gazing. We officially became more than friends on February 22, 2015. We started growing our family in 2019 when we adopted two bunnies, Hana (netherland dwarf) and Bear (holland lop). Unfortunately, we faced a heartbreak when Hana passed away shortly after. We continued to grow our family in 2020 when we adopted our calico cat Siggy and again in 2021 when we adopted a Corgi puppy Maynard. We had noticed that Bear was lonely without his partner in crime so we adopted Bunji (another Holland lop). After many sleepless nights, we successfully bonding them together and now they are BFFLs (with some occasional fights). Despite being from Canada and California, we both knew that we wanted to stay in the Midwest due to the great COL. Fortunately we were able to couples match together at THE Ohio State University for residency. Since moving our little petting zoo to Columbus, we have also started a salt water fish tank.
