We met in 2005 at one of our favorite dance clubs we each attended weekly. I would see her from time to time but always thought she was out of my league. She had this quiet confidence about her that drew you in and intimidated you at the same time, like you wanted to know her but you were scared to ask her questions for fear of rejection. I remember the night we met like it was yesterday. I was hanging out with a group of friends when one of my friends at the time came up to me and told me this girl he knows thinks I am pretty cute. I didn't think anything of it at the time and had no idea that the girl he was referring to was the same girl that I thought was out of my league. The club that night was extra busy so by the time he pointed her out and by the time I could get to the dance floor she was gone. However, I knew I would see her again. Sure enough we ran into each other at a different club the following week. Though this time we just introduced ourselves it wasn't until the next night at the club where she made the first move where we officially got to know each other and shared contact information. The rest is history.

People say when you know you know and after 1 year of us being together I knew that she was the one for me. A few months before I planned to propose, I took her sister ring shopping where together we picked out the ring. The big day - I got reservations to one our favorite restaurants and I also booked a hotel for us that evening. Before we went to dinner I went to the hotel and decorated the room with rose peddles, chocolates and a nice bottle of wine. When we got to dinner I could tell she was on to me, I didn't know if she knew we were getting engaged or that I was planning to ask her to marry me but I could just sense she had an idea there was a larger reason for the evening plans. At dinner I was so nervous and all i kept thinking about was the proposal, I must have gone over it a hundred times. Once we get back to the room I had her open the door and when she walked through, I got down on one knee and when she turned and looked at me I proposed. All I remember was the amount of times she repeated YES to me (5). So that is our story and its a cute one.
