FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Due to limited space at our venue, we are unable to accommodate children unless they are specifically named on your invitation. We hope you understand our decision and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Is there a hotel block? Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard Marriott in Farmington and the Goodwin Hotel in West Hartford for our out-of-town guests. You can find the booking link and information about other nearby accommodations on the "Travel" page of this website. We recommend booking sooner rather than later, as rooms may fill up!

Question

Is there parking at the museum?

Answer

Yes, the New Britain Museum of American Art has a free on-site parking lot for guests. There is also ample street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. We want everyone to feel comfortable and look fabulous—think somewhere between a fancy date night and a red carpet event (but hopefully with more dancing).

Question

Will the wedding be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We'll be celebrating entirely indoors at the museum, enjoying the art and each other's company in a climate-controlled setting.

Question

Will there be dinner? What about dietary restrictions?

Answer

Absolutely! We'll be serving a full dinner with options for everyone. Please be sure to note any dietary restrictions or allergies (like gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.) when you RSVP, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Question

What's the closest airport to fly into?

Answer

The two closest major airports are Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, about a 30-40 minute drive, and Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN), about a 45-minute drive. JFK and LaGuardia are options as well, but be prepared for a 2+ hour drive.
