We met at Bowling Green State University. It was the second semester of our freshman year in 1992. I saw Aaron walking across the lobby of my dormitory and that was all I needed. I can't remember if I said something or how I got his attention but it worked and we hit it off. We dated at BGSU for five years, although Aaron left after our freshman year, to pursue his career in a different direction. It was tough but we maintained our relationship as best as we could. After five years of dating with a few hiccups, we decided to break up. The break up lasted 21 years. Then one day, I happened to be on Facebook and saw a picture of Aaron's youngest brother and decided to reach out to Aaron. I couldn't believe how old his brother was, since the last time I saw him he was around seven or eight years old. Through long nights and many conversations, Aaron and I hit it off again, and decided to pursue a relationship for the second time. Some things are destined and designed by a higher being, at least that's what we both thought. We were definitely sure of that, especially after being apart from each other over 21 years. This started our second time of being together and it has been 13 years in the making. On February 14, 2025, Aaron proposed to me on Valentine's Day, and a day before our same anniversary day, February 15, 1992, 21 years ago. This was the best surprise ever, especially because let him tell it, I'm nosey as ever and he can't surprise me but he got me this day. LOL! I was in aww and the happiest woman alive! I said yes to the love of my life in front of a bunch of strangers and close friends. February 15 will always be our day.
