Rachel and Aaron have always known who each other were, since they grew up in the same town and went to rival schools. Despite this, they did not meet in person for the first time until a Miranda Lambert concert in 2012. As usual, Rachel was not dressed for the occasion and was complaining that she was cold. Aaron happened to be standing behind her, and offered her his flannel. Rachel thinks he was flirting while Aaron maintains he was just being polite. She thought this was scandalous because Aaron was known as a "bad boy" and she was known as a "good girl." After that night they went their separate ways until Summer 2013 when Aaron asked her to go hiking in Great Falls. This was the first date Rachel has ever been on where she wasn't nervous at all...because he did all the talking. This was the first date Aaron has ever been on where he knew he didn't have to play any games...because she asked to hang out again only hours after they had gone home. Fast forward nine years and Aaron still does all the talking and Rachel still wants to be with him no matter where he is.
