We matched on Hinge… eventually. Morgan had liked Aaron’s profile and promptly forgotten about it (as one does). About a week later, Aaron finally got around to checking his queue and replied with a multi-paragraph opener packed with dad jokes. Against all odds, it charmed Morgan, and a first date was scheduled. What was supposed to be a simple lunch and an AA meeting turned into a marathon: boba tea, three hours at the dog park (where Murphy shamelessly booped the ball at Morgan looking for a new Mommy), and finally Zachary’s pizza. The night ended with Morgan confused about the lack of a first kiss… but Aaron asked for a second date. That second date? Aaron brought Morgan to meet his mom before they even saw the parade at Petaluma’s Butter & Egg Days. (Bold move, we know.) From there, the Petaluma connection grew even deeper—Aaron having grown up there, and Morgan having lived there after moving from Chicago. Life since then has been a whirlwind. Morgan moved to Daly City in April, we went on three international trips in our first year together, and spent countless weekends in Silver City, Truckee, and the Midwest. Somewhere in between packing and unpacking, we also found out we were expecting our first child. It’s been fast, fun, full of family overlap, dog park adventures, and plenty of dad jokes. We can’t wait to celebrate our love—and our growing little family—with all of you.
