In November of 2016, Aaron and I made acquaintances with each other for the first time at the sweet 16 of my close friend and his cousin Hope. Flash forward through a few years and a few brief passing's with Aaron at Hope's house, 2018 rolls around and it was time for another birthday celebration, but this celebration was for both Aaron and Hope since their birthdays are very close together. It was after dinner at Mango's on our stroll down iDrive where Aaron and I truly bonded for the first time. The world seemed to slow around us as we were both so focused on each other and the conversations we were having. We didn't think much of it at the time, but it was one of those bonds that we both thought about for a while after that night. After that night, unfortunately we didn't see each other again until after we graduated high school. Hope and her family were hosting a graduation celebration weekend at a beach house on Anna Maria Island that summer where I was welcomed to attend, and luckily for us, Aaron was there too. Throughout the day, Aaron and I restored that bond we had in 2018 almost instantly and had a blast with Hope and Aaron's friend the next two days. One of our favorite, silly bonding moments was when we were throwing a penny at each other's stomach on the pool deck at Smuggler's and laughing so hard that we couldn't breathe because it was sticking perfectly to our skin with each throw. Objectively not the most humorous interaction for most, but we thought it was hilarious and still do. By the end of the trip, Aaron finally asked me for my Snap Chat which opened the door to the beautiful love we have for each other now. Our first time hanging out just the two of us consisted of milkshakes and MarioKart, but the way the night ended we will remember forever. We were on the floor in my room watching silly videos with my record player playing one of my grandma's old french records in the background, when suddenly a song comes on that I was unfamiliar with but Aaron knew right away. He pauses the video, looks at me as he stands to his feet with his hand stretched out, asking me to dance with him. Completely starstruck, I accept and we dance to the entirety of Louis Armstrong's La Vie En Rose. They say you know when you've found the one, and at that moment I was sure that I did. From there we hung out more and more; always laughing, watching scary movies, being silly and having deep and light hearted conversations. One evening when Aaron was walking me out to my car after hanging out at his parents house, we stood there in the moonlight, hugged and said our goodbyes and as I was about to get in my car, he grabbed my hands. He stood there, staring at me with great big smiles in his eyes, until suddenly I leaned in and went for the kiss. Yes, I beat him to it. We had a blast together that summer and continued to date through the beginning of the first semester of college. There was a brief period we were apart due to a few personal reasons, but each and every day we were apart our hearts searched for each other until fate finally brought us back together again at the top of the parking garage at USF. We learned together that day how much we truly love each other and that we could never bare to be apart ever again. We grew stronger and stronger together and a few weeks later, in the parking lot of Olive Garden on November 30th, 2019 we were officially dating. Five years later here we are, planning our wedding, soon to be Mr and Mrs, happily living together and raising our babies (Pepsi and Fanta). We could have never predicted how full of love our hearts would feel for each other at this time because it seems to always continue to grow past its limit each and every day. We are so excited to continue on to this next chapter of life together learning, growing, and loving beyond our hearts capacity as husband and wife.
