The Wedding Is Here!

The day Aaron and Leah met was the day both of their lives changed drastically. They were both at St. Louis MEPS enlisting into the military. Aaron and Leah talked the entire day as they both went through a daunting process of medical examinations and intrusive tests. After they both swore in to the Marines, and Army National Guard, they stayed closely in touch and started meeting in person.

Aaron joined Leah and her family on a spontaneous "Last Hurrah" trip to Pensacola, FL before they both left for boot camp. Aaron asked Leah to be his girlfriend after coming home from Florida on March 18th, one week before Leah shipped to boot camp. A questionable risk that turned into a happy ending.

While both Aaron and Leah were in boot camp, they continued their contact via handwritten letters for 8 long months. After both had graduated, Leah used the entirety of her boot camp money on flights and hotel stays to see Aaron at Camp Lejeune, NC every 2 months until she moved into an apartment with him, on June 2nd 2021.

After 1 year of living together, Aaron asked Leah to marry him on July 29th, on their favorite beach.

Due to Aaron receiving unexpected orders to deploy overseas, they tied the knot on August 10th, at the local courthouse with only their two close friends, Anthony Smude, and Saber Ray present to witness and celebrate.

After Aaron was discharged from the military, they moved back to Illinois where they bought their first home in July of 2024. Now, Aaron and Leah are anxious to have a formal ceremony and celebration to make up for lost time and missed moments with family and friends.
