Bridesmaid
Mali and I have been best friends since we met as new staff members at Camp Manito-wish in 2002. We stayed close throughout college and went on to lead ~30 day canoe (Mali) and backpacking (Kyla) trips in 2007. After college we both lived in Madison, Wisconsin until I moved back to NC in 2009. Mali is an accomplished canoeist and NICU nurse living in Woodruff, Wisconsin. She is married to Sean and they have three adorable boys: Jay, Monty, and Eddy. -Kyla
Best Woman
Steph and I met back at my original high school, and she is perhaps my oldest friend. She's been one of the most formative friendships I've had, and one of my most supportive ones as well, encouraging me to go after my goals, while also being down to watch horror movies while gorging on Mexican after a crappy day. She's currently training pharmacy techs in Wilmington, putting her considerable people skills to good use. She's taught me a lot about people in general, and I feel I owe her a lot for the great friendships I've been able to cultivate since. I'm very thankful to call her my friend. -Aaron
Groomsman
Andrew and I met in high school, while we were living in the dorms. From a bond that grew out of fried chicken and video games, we now have a friendship that spans all sorts of foods and all sorts of games. He is a man of passion, excelling in both his career as a scientist, and his hobbies in breakdancing, writing, esports, cooking, and being an all around hypebeast. He is one of the most charismatic and driven individuals I know, and I am proud to call him my friend. -Aaron
Bridesmaid
Lauren is my favorite (and only) first-cousin. Both only children, we learned about sharing at our annual Christmas gatherings in Texas. We would often record duets and solos in Austin and force our family to watch our hilarious Christmas plays. After going to college and living in NYC, Lauren works as an account director in the entertainment industry and is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. She lives in Granada Hills, California with her husband, Nick, two sweet pups and cat. -Kyla
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth and I first met on a month-long trip to Germany in January of our Sophomore year at St. Olaf college (she majored in Opera singing!). We first bonded over karaoke and late night doner kababs. Elizabeth is a very talented singer/songwriter based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She produces american/folk music with her group, the Heighburners and started a new indie pop/rock project called elour! -Kyla
Groomswoman
Cyd and I met in high school, though we wouldn't grow close until university. She fostered my fledgling love for musicals and Broadway (when no one else quite understood what the hell I was on about), as well as introduced me to my favorite place on Earth (a little piano bar in Greenwich Village). She's currently working as a lawyer in LA, where she's making an impact doing the legal work on several popular productions. I've never understood how she gets in all done, be it in high school, college, or even now. She's undoubtably one of the hardest working people I've ever known, and honored to call her my friend. -Aaron
Groomsman
Will and I met in high school, while we were living in the dorms. How he survived being our RA, I will never know. He recently just finished his PhD in Neuroengineering and accepted a position at Columbia University in NYC. Needless to say, Will is one of the most brilliant people I know, and we can all expect to se great things from that great mind of his. I am privileged to call him a friend. -Aaron
Bridesmaid
Hillary and I met doing improv in Carrboro, NC and are still doing improv together almost 10 years later. As we are both improvising scientists, we have a duo team called Marie Curious, Hillary is a talented cross-stitch queen, master hydrologist and owner of Pens and Stitches with her husband, Tristan. Together they create beautiful art including cross-stitch, embroidery and illustrations. She is a recent homeowner and newlywed living in Durham with her husband and corgie, Helen. -Kyla
Bridesmaid
Ashley and I also met doing improv in Carrboro almost 10 years ago. Ashley is a talented improviser, writer, photographer, filmmaker and owner of Mettlesome, a producer of all things creative including comedy, podcasts and live shows in the Durham area. She can basically do anything creative! She also coaches my current improv team, Hush Hush. Ashley lives in Durham with her husband, Jack, and pup, Iceman. -Kyla
Groomsman
Elliot and I met in high school, while we were living in the dorms. He's always had a talent for MacGyver-ing his way through problems, be it solving his need for comfortable furniture and trash removal with the same project, or solving his lack of interior decoration with balsa wood and epoxy. He has taken these talents into the industrial automation sector, picking up even more skills towards some greater goal...perhaps a brewery? He continually shows me that "where there's a will, theres a way," and I am grateful to call him my friend. -Aaron
Groomsman
Gabe and I met in high school, while we were living in the dorms. He has a penchant for mischief, and while that almost killed him (and sometimes us) on occasion, be has been able to nurture that talent into a career working on viral marketing for all sorts of clients. His success has even garnered him some fame as well, yet he still remains a humble and genuine friend, and I am lucky to count him among mine. -Aaron
Bridesmaid
Kate and I also became friends during our month-long class trip to Germany. We have spent many summers and New Years in Red Lodge, Montana at her family's cabin. Kate is a talented actress and singer. We love contrasting her amazing singing with my terrible singing at college cafeterias and karaoke bars. She moved to Germany after college to teach acting at an international school and currently lives in Dusseldorf with her husband, Joseph, daughter Hettie and brand new baby, Rosemary! -Kyla
