Things To Do
University of Notre Dame
Notre Dame is our favorite sports team, and a short drive from where we are getting married. The campus is beautiful to walk around, especially in the summertime! A few must-do's on campus are visiting the Grotto, the Basilica, the Golden Dome, and Hammes Bookstore.
Spirited
This is one of our favorite cocktail bars in downtown South Bend! We have loved the times we have gone and enjoy the speakeasy feel and theming. There are plenty of tasty signature drinks on the menu, but the bartenders are also known for free-handing off the menu drinks if you let them know what you like.
Potawatomi Zoo
We have visited this zoo a few times, and have really enjoyed it. If you take time to go, definitely check out the giraffe enclosure!
Studebaker National Museum
One of our first dates was touring the Studebaker Museum. The company began in South Bend in 1852, and there are dozens of cars and carriages throughout the building. The museum was featured on the show "Prop Culture" on Disney+ for housing the Muppet Movie car!
Fatbird
We stopped here for dinner and the food was amazing! The theme of the restaurant is contemporary southern. It is located right in downtown South Bend.
O'Rourke's Public House
Located near Notre Dame's Campus, O'Rourke's is another great place to grab a drink and enjoy some delicious food.
