Take a beautiful drive through Saguro national park and marvel at all the cacti while on your way to visit the desert museum. The park and museum are open in October from 8:30AM - 5:00PM. From Tubac, it is approximately an hour drive.
Tumacácori National Historical Park is located in the upper Santa Cruz River Valley in Santa Cruz County, southern Arizona. The park consists of 360 acres in three separate units. The park protects the ruins of three Spanish mission communities, two of which are National Historic Landmark sites.
Celebrated as one of the finest examples of Spanish Colonial architecture, San Javier Mission is a Catholic church still in operation today. It was founded in 1692 by Padre Kino and remains one of Arizona’s oldest European Structures.
Tubac Jack’s, one of the oldest restaurants in Tubac, has an eclectic menu of BBQ, Mexican, and worldwide favorites such as steaks, salads, burgers, pulled pork and, of course, our world famous green chili stew. Jack’s has a huge patio to enjoy those beautiful Southern Arizona days and evenings, as well as a full dining room and bar suited for any size party. We have a rotating list of bands playing on our patio every Saturday night. Jack’s offers catering for parties large and small, take out, and a huge selection of craft beer and cocktails.
