We're getting married!

Jordan and Aaron first met during a mid-summer retreat while volunteering for the Conservation Corps of Minnesota. During the retreat, they had passed by each other several times but didn’t speak until their group took a trip to a local fire museum. Jordan, up to that point, had been shyly admiring the tall, cute lumberjack from afar. Meanwhile, though admittedly distracted by a recent breakup with someone else at the retreat, Aaron found Jordan quite cute in her jean shorts, knee-high socks, and white t-shirt with her hair up in a bun. For the trip to the fire museum, Aaron was driving one of the trucks shuttling people between the campsite and the museum. Jordan, “taking one for the team,” decided to take the front middle seat next to him. Quickly, a conversation ensued about the book casually tossed on the dash of the truck. It turned out that Aaron was reading it at the time, and Jordan, having read the book several years prior, quickly tried to remember what she could... which was not much. Jordan and Aaron ended up being the only ones speaking in what was otherwise a silent six-person truck ride. Despite the easy-flowing conversation, the two had no real expectations of seeing each other again... Then, two months later, Jordan and a few friends planned a night out in Duluth. Unbeknownst to her, Aaron was also invited to this outing. He was equally unaware of the other guests, but upon arriving the two immediately recognized each other from that summer retreat months prior. They easily picked up where they had left off. Jordan had re-read the entire book series they had previously spoken about and the conversation flowed from there. Throughout the night, various forms of flirting occurred as they looked to gauge the other's interest and their billiards team compatibility. A well-timed trip by Aaron thankfully didn’t send Jordan to the floor, but did confirm the chemistry for her. Fortunately, not wasting the opportunity, Aaron forged the courage to ask her out at the end of the night. Two weeks later, the two returned to Duluth for their first date.
