Question

Should I wear a mask?

Answer

Currently in St. Louis, masks will be required indoors for all guests at both our ceremony and reception. This includes guests who are fully vaccinated. We will be providing masks at the venues for your convenience.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

To allow all guests time to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We can only accommodate the individual(s) named on the envelope. Please do not bring a plus one unless clearly designated. Again, thank you for understanding!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding and reception?

Answer

Semi-formal / Dressy casual / Cocktail attire

Question

Should we arrive ~fashionably~ late to the cocktail hour?

Answer

There's no need! The grooms and the wedding party will be there at 6:00pm to greet you, so we hope to see you and get the party started!

Question

Would you like me to take pictures or record videos during your ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged. We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture our special day. We ask that you please turn off and put away all devices during the ceremony to be present and share the moment with us!

Question

I've never been to a same-sex wedding! Which one of you is the bride?

Answer

We're glad this is your first one! There isn't a bride. We are both grooms.

Question

Got it. So how will we know which side to sit on during the ceremony?

Answer

Just choose a seat! There will be plenty of room! Either way it's for a groom!

Question

I'm not used to seeing two guys show affection. Will you two be hugging? Holding hands? Dancing? Kissing?

Answer

Yes! Correct! Of course! You know it!

Question

Ok. But you guys are going to be the only gay people there, right?

Answer

Wrong! Many of our closest friends and family are also members of the LGBTQ family. Our wedding will be an inclusive space for everyone to celebrate love!

Question

I don't think I will be comfortable going to a gay wedding. What do you recommend?

Answer

We are sorry to hear that, but understand that this may be new and uncomfortable for some. We will miss having you at the celebration! If you feel uncomfortable attending for personal reasons, but would like to celebrate our union, please feel free to show your support in any way that makes you feel comfortable.
