Jeanette and Aaron Dekker met back in December 2015 when Jeanette started working at the same Walmart Aaron was already employed at. Neither of them viewed each other in a romantic way initially but as time went on a close friendship was formed. Then, Aaron got the news that his position was going to be eliminated and he would be moving to a new store. Aaron and Jeanette continued to build their friendship which eventually lead them to start officially dating on June 12th, 2016! Hence the idea for their original wedding date :) They purchased their home in Winchester in July of 2017, got engaged October 14th 2018, and were married on June 12th, 2020! While their wedding last year was not the wedding Jeanette had spent a few months planning, they believe it was exactly the wedding day God had planned for them! Jeanette and Aaron got married at the park located just two houses away in Winchester with their bridal party and immediate family present to witness in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. They look forward to being able to celebrate with friends and family this year!

Randy and Grace met while working at Wohlt Cheese in Fremont December 0f 1978. Grace was on a 6 week Christmas break from college and went to work there during the break. A friendship developed and plans were made to get together for a farewell drink before Grace returned to school. Randy never showed up! About one year later in 1979, on Christmas break again, Grace and a friend went out for some weekend fun. They happened to be at the same place where Randy was going to meet a year earlier. They were shooting pool when Randy walks up to Grace and asks... "Don't I know you?" Grace's reply was "well it's about time." (Meaning why did it take you a whole year to finally show up?) They danced one dance and the rest is history because Randy called and several dates followed. They dated long distance, Wisconsin to Nebraska. Mostly by phone, but they did manage a once a month in person visit. On April 11, 1980, Grace flew home for an Easter visit. This is the day Randy popped the question. So in May of 1981 there was a college graduation, on June 20th a wedding and in August a move to Olivette, Missouri to begin the great adventure. Here they are 40 years later and the adventure is still going strong. They are excited to celebrate with friends and family the joy of 40 years of wedded bliss and look forward to many more, God willing of course.
