The Haldi ceremony is a fun, colorful event with close family and friends. "Haldi" in Hindi means “turmeric”, which is a bright yellow paste that our families use to paint the faces of the bride and groom. It’s a symbol of love, blessings, and prosperity.

American/Indian Cocktail Attire - If you would like your henna done, please be mindful of wearing long-sleeves
The bride will start the process of having her henna painted on her hands and feet. The henna is very detailed and intricate and can take up to 4-6 hours. There will be one henna artist dedicated to the bride, and another artist for friends and family. Ladies Only Please!

"Sangeet” in Hindi means music/song. It’s an opening into the wedding festivities that will involve lots of food, drinks, dancing, and singing. Henna artists will be available until 9pm.

The Baraat kicks off the wedding day! This is a giant dancing parade that escorts the groom to the mandap (altar). Traditionally, this is a way for the groom’s family to show their excitement and joy over the upcoming wedding ceremony.

Lunch and beverages will be served after the wedding ceremony.

Drinks and appetizers will be served. This event will lead into the Reception.

Dinner will be served. Program to follow. While we love your little ones, our reception is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!
