First, we want to apologize that we did not think about the parking situation when we became mesmerized by the train station and all it's character. Parking is not available at the train station. You will need to park on the street or at the Chestnut St parking garage, but you can drop your passenger off out front of the station and then go park your vehicle. Only metered parking is available on the street but it is free after 5pm and cheaper than the parking garage. There is free parking on Commonwealth Ave on Saturdays. Chestnut St garage rates: Less than 2 hours $10, 2-4 hours $15, 4-24 hours $30. Metered Parking is available on 4th St, Aberdeen St and other streets slightly nearby. The cost is $3.00 an hour and can be paid with credit card or quarters. If paying by credit card you can add additional time if needed but it is free after 5pm. This is your better option. Please arrive early enough to park and get to the train station in time.
Yes! In fact, if you are part of the family, then please arrive early. We will be taking the majority of pictures prior to the wedding. Feel free to join us and take some of your own. The train station offers many great photo opportunities that you will want to take advantage of. We will dedicate more time to take photos after the ceremony if necessary. We just want to take advantage of sunlight while it is still available.
No, we won't be serving an additional meal option. We have an obsession with tacos. Our entire dating experience has consisted of tacos. Why wouldn't we have tacos? There is a gift shop at the train station with microwaves. You can always bring your own bowl of premade pasta to heat up if you desire. That is what Prince Sebastian will be doing. He will lead you to the microwave.
We're glad you asked!! This is going to be fun! Let's start with the why. Why not? We have both been married before and we have 2 fully equipped homes to combine (btw, does anyone want to buy any furniture or kitchen items?). We do not need anything. We understand the desire to shower us with gifts on our special day and we have decided that your money would be best utilized by providing for those around us who have many basic needs that we sometimes take for granted. We are asking each guest to bring new or used items that we can hand out to the homeless population of Harrisburg. The next FAQ will list specific items that we are collecting. We will be taking these items out to the people under the Mulberry St bridge (which is next to the train station) after the ceremony at about 4pm. We would like to do this before it gets too dark. We are partnering with Valari Boland from Market Square Friends to complete this project efficiently and in a safe manor.
Items can be used or new. This is only a suggested list. Please feel free to bring other items that you may consider useful for someone who lives on the street. Heavy comforters, blankets, winter boots (men and women), Sterno, gloves, hats, long johns, jeans, sweatshirts, camping lanterns, Gatorade, water, tuna, cereal bars, travel size toiletries assembled in a Ziploc bag.
No, you do not. We understand that the temperature will be on the lower end of the thermometer, some guests may have physical limitations or that you will not feel comfortable participating. We ask that you still bring an item or two that someone else can take. You are more than welcome to hang back at the station and enjoy the cheese board and hot chocolate. If safety is your only concern, Valari Boland, who runs Market Square Friends, will be leading us. She spends time with our homeless friends on a regular basis and knows them well. Ross Willard is also very knowledgeable of those who are on the streets of Harrisburg and will also be safely leading us as well as driving all the items to the distribution site so that we will not have to carry them. It is a 1/2 mile walk, which will be totally invigorating on a cold January afternoon.
It's a wedding so put on something nice. The wedding is at the train station so feel free to dress with a bit more flare and style. We decided that it would be fun for all the ladies to wear a fascinator since Holly Beth will be wearing one. Have fun and be creative! For the service project it is advisable to bring proper shoes and a jacket. We hope do to this snow, rain or shine.
The short answer is no. The long answer is nooooooo. We love children. We even made our own children a few years ago. We love your children too. It has been our experience, that most children find weddings and ceremonies quite stodgy, mind-numbing, wearisome, and trying. We love your children so much that we would never want to put them through that type of torture.

We have decided that since everyone has their own tastes that we are making this event BYOB (wine). We will provide wine bottle openers and wine glasses. All alcohol must stay within the Pennsylvania room at the train station.
Yes, we are actually planning on making a facebook live for the ceremony. We have created a group called Aaron and Holly Beth Get Hitched and you can join it. There will also be updates to our event posted on the facebook group page. We also hope that those who attend and take pictures will post those pictures to the group page.
