Get ready to celebrate!

If you didn’t know, Aaron and I met on Hinge, a dating app. I lived in Columbia, SC and he lived in Greenville, SC. We matched on Christmas Eve and I (Hanna) initiated a conversation. I had already decided that this was my last shot and that if things didn’t work with “this guy” then I was deleting the app and moving on. We started talking on the app, then texted and by the end of the night we had a 3 hour long conversation over the phone. I sat on the back of my dads truck as we talked and he was driving back from picking the girls up. The rest fell into place.

On the Fourth of July 2023, Aaron really wanted to go on a hike in the heat of the summer. I did not want to go. Begrudgingly, I got in the car and we went to Conestee Park in Mauldin. We walked around and admired nature and talked. As we kept walking, Aaron wanted to go off the beaten path. I also did not want to do this and finally he wandered further into the woods, on a tiny trail, headed straight uphill. I followed him, overheated and not so happily. When we got to the top of the hill, he decided to turn around and head back down, so I was forced to lead the way on the one way trail. As I headed down, he grabbed my hand, turned me back around and told me he loved me, then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was surprised and immediately started to cry and said yes! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
