Here’s a peek into the day of our engagement. Hope you enjoy , and laugh a little ! —It was about 4pm that afternoon, we had just got back to our hotel room when Aaron said “Take your time getting ready we have dinner at 7–You have plenty of time”...in other words he was saying three hours should be enough for you to get distracted, sit down, stand up, change the song on your phone, do your hair, sit down, do your make up and change into your outfit. Surprisingly, I was ready just in time and we were off to dinner. Once we arrived at the resort where the restaurant was located, we were stopped at the gate and told we couldn’t get in because there was a wedding going on in the restaurant and it was shut down to the public. I didn’t think much of it at the time, aside from the fact that there must’ve been some miscommunication. Aaron quickly reached out to the person he booked the reservation through and we were let in—The hotel was so surreal! We drove through a long dark tunnel before reaching the end with an amazing view of the ocean. We were greeted by Selene who offered to give us a tour of the resort before heading to the restaurant. We walked about 7 minutes before arriving at a gazebo where a place for two was set, beautiful view of the ocean, and a private cook awaited us. I looked over to Aaron and thanked him for surprising me with such a beautiful and private dinner. We sat down and Selene took Aaron’s phone to take a couple of photos of us—I was still thinking this was to celebrate our anniversary—after she took some photos she walked behind us to stand next to the cook— As we gazed at the beach and tried to take in as much beauty as we could...Aaron turned to me and started with “you know you’re my best friend...” That’s the moment I knew our time had come. After i kissed him and said yes he tried to put the ring on my right hand, thanks to google I knew that ring went on my left hand.
