We can't tell you how much we appreciate you making the effort to fly out to France to celebrate our love! Château de la Bourdaisière is located at 25 Rue de la Bourdaisière, de 37270 Montlouis-sur-Loire, France. There are many charming towns nearby, the largest of which is Tours.

Travel Note

Passports

France requires passports to be valid at least 3 months beyond your planned date of departure. It can take 3-6 months to renew, so please double check yours!

Train

Train à Grande Vitesse

The easiest way to travel to Chateau de la Bourdaisiere is to first fly into Paris. There is a high speed train (TGV) to Loire Valley that takes approximately 1 hour. There are two options from Paris: (1) Paris-Austerlitz station or Paris-Montparnasse station to St Pierre Des Corps. (2) Train directly from the Charles de Gaulle airport to St Pierre Des Corps.

Rental Car

Car Transportation

A great way to explore all the lovely towns around Loire Valley is by car. Fun fact - they actually drive on the same side of the road as us! If you would like to rent a car in Paris, the drive to Loire is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. There are also many car rental agencies right by the St Pierre des Corps train station in Loire Valley. The drive from the train station and car rental agencies to the wedding chateau is approximately 10 minutes. There is free parking at the chateau. If you plan to drive, your US drivers license is valid, however, you will need to order an International Drivers Permit through AAA. It’s about $30, and will come in the mail in about 5-7 days. You can apply online here https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html Otherwise, below is the taxi company that the chateau recommends that you can use to get around Loire. Although not as prevalent as it is in the major cities, you can still use Uber/Lyft as well. Arnotours +33 6 87 41 88 01

Travel Note

Bike Rental

Riding a bike is another great way to explore Loire Valley. There is a well marked system of bike trails in the region and most of them are good for beginners. The cycling routes have a mixture of culinary experiences and chateaus, where you'll bike through the French countryside and along the Loire river. The wedding chateau is actually located on a Loire cycle route, and they have a few bikes for rental. There are also many places to rent bikes around the area and many trails to discover!
