We were a result of an online dating app bumble, Caitlin tried to chicken out of the date but Aaron didn’t let that happen. Now Aaron can’t get her to go away. The relationship started while Caitlin was finishing her clinical year at Purdue in Indiana but she had already accepted a job back in NJ so long distance was the reality for a bit. Pittsburgh was essentially right in the middle of our hometowns so it was only fitting to meet up there from time to time. We rented a house for a year in NJ and then closed on our very own home in Stillwater NJ (which we love so so so much). Aaron has been busy ever since working on house projects. Our engagement… We have been engaged since April 2020. We took a hike toward a waterfall, cliche I know. The trail happened to actually be closed so we were breaking some rules. This made Caitlin very nervous, as we all know she is one to strictly adhere to rules. Aaron persisted that it would be just fine, so we continued on. The trail had not been cleared after recent storms which made for a treacherous hike. We had to ‘dodge, dip, duck, dive, and dodge’ our way to the end. The waterfall turned out to only be a small trickle and there ended up being two hikers hovering around the area because they wanted to smoke pot by the water. So it was a little rushed, a little weird but very funny and of course Caitlin still cried after the inital shock. Since then we have been working hard, ‘living the dream’ as Aaron would say, and planning our wedding. We know how much work goes into planning travel/accomidations when it comes to attending others’ weddings so we are truly grateful to you all for wanting to come share our day with us!
