We have known each other for more than a decade, our paths crossing regularly on softball fields across leagues and tournaments. Aaron focused mainly on men's league; Annette playing competitive coed and women's. Life shifted both of our focuses to something a little bigger than softball; Aaron pursued and completed his Master's Degree and Annette was raising 3 little boys. We both continued to play intermittently, even asking each other to sub on our respective teams at times. At one point, Annette even asked Aaron to give private pitching lessons to one of the boys. Neither of those things ever came to fruition, however, we still shared friendly banter and chats about our love for the Atlanta Braves. Fast forward the years and we found ourselves back on the softball field- still on different teams, but at the same tournament. Those 2 teams squared off in the championship - Annette's team prevailing and Aaron left wondering how he lost to a girl. This was the last time we found ourselves in opposite dugouts. The day of firsts and lasts: On the way to the state softball tournament, it was storming like crazy. Due to rain delays, some of the women's team decided to go eat breakfast. Annette decided to message Aaron to let him know that his team was welcome to come join, too. Little did she know, he was extremely hungover (maybe still drunk) from his class reunion the night before. Reluctantly, he crawled out of bed and showed up. From there, we spent the weekend getting to know more about each other and developing a lasting friendship. Neither of us saw it coming, neither of us planned on it, but it has grown into a lasting love that neither of us want to live without. We are so thankful for our family and friends that have supported us along the way. We are beyond excited to celebrate this beautiful day with you. We love you all! Annette & Aaron
