Things To Do

Downtown Decatur

Downtown Decatur

Decatur, GA 30030

Downtown Decatur is a great walkable area that features lots of great restaurants and local shops. It's also where Aaron proposed! Some of our favorite hangouts include Victory Bar (great cocktails, sandos, and ping pong), the Iberian Pig (upscale Spanish cuisine), the Pinewood (awesome cocktails and food), and the Brick Store (fantastic selection of beer). Squash Blossom is one of Adrienne's favorite ridiculously expensive boutiques where she wishes she shopped on a regular basis.

Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium

225 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313
, (404) 581-4000

A world-class aquarium and top tourist destination in Atlanta!

Center for Civil and Human Rights

Center for Civil and Human Rights

100 Ivan Allen Junior Boulevard Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313
, (678) 999-8990

Rated the #1 museum in Atlanta, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights downtown is an engaging cultural attraction that connects the American Civil Rights Movement to today’s struggle for Global Human Rights.

Eastside BeltLine Trail

Eastside BeltLine Trail

Eastside BeltLine Trail, Atlanta, GA

The Eastside Trail stretches from Piedmont Park in the north to Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward in the south, passing by the greatest concentration of industrial architecture in Atlanta adapted for residential reuse and as offices, retail, dining and shopping, the most notable example being Ponce City Market.

SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film

SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film

1600 Peachtree Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30309
, (404) 253-3132

This well-curated space "focuses on the future of fashion design, connecting conceptual to historical principles of dress — whether ceremonial, celebratory or casual — and welcomes visitors of all ages to engage with dynamic exhibitions, captivating films and educationally enriching events." It also has one of the most spectacular views of the Atlanta skyline!

, (404) 733-4400
Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market

675 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30308
, (404) 900-7900

Ponce City Market is a somewhat fancy-schmancy hub of shopping and delisheries located in the revitalized Sears Roebuck building. Note that parking is a pay lot.

Krog Street Market

Krog Street Market

99 Krog Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307
, (770) 434-2400

Krog Street Market is a great place to grab some food and check out some cool local shops. Adrienne loves Mama Bath and Body products, and everyone with a pulse is crazy about Jeni's Ice Cream.

Three Taverns Craft Brewery

Three Taverns Craft Brewery

121 New Street, Decatur, GA 30030
, (404) 600-3355

Three Taverns is one of our favorite places to enjoy a local craft beer (or 3) and enjoy the sunshine. Just note that they don't serve food, so grab a bite before or after!

Northside Tavern

Northside Tavern

1058 Howell Mill Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318
, (404) 874-8745

You can count on this classic dive bar for quality live music. Since 1972, the Northside Tavern has been serving first-rate blues every single night of the week.

Taco Cowboy

Taco Cowboy

1000 Virginia Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

Skillet cheese dip. I don't really think anything else needs to be said.

The General Muir

The General Muir

1540 Avenue Place, Atlanta, GA 30329
, (678) 927-9131

We adore General Muir for breakfast! They are well-loved in Atlanta for their delicious bagels, pastrami, and homemade pastries. This place gets busy and doesn't take reservations, so we suggest getting there early.

Golden Eagle

Sassy, classy, and the best happy hour (5-7) around!

The Fox Theatre

The Fox Theatre

660 Peachtree Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30308
, (404) 881-2100

The Fabulous Fox Theatre was originally planned as part of a large Shrine Temple as evidenced by its Moorish design. It was ultimately developed as a lavish movie theater in the Fox Theatres chain and opened in 1929. The Fox has daytime tours where you can learn about the history and see the spectacular interior!

Trader Vic's

255 Courtland Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30303

The original Tiki bar and one of Aaron's favorite places in the city.
