We love your children, but we *highly prefer* that you do not bring your children. The only exceptions are for family. We understand that finding child-care is not easy, so please talk to us if you are concerned.
If we specifically included your partner in the invite, then yes. If not, then no. Ask us if you are unsure.
Our primary plan is for the ceremony to be outdoors. The area is moderately shaded, but it could still be pretty warm so dress with that in mind. And you may need to walk through grass, so choose appropriate shoes. If it rains, there is an indoor back-up. The reception will be indoors.
Our dress code is semi-formal with a garden party vibe. Semi-formal means suits and/or dress shirts/dress pants (no jeans), dresses, stylish jumpsuits, etc. It will be warm, so light fabrics are encouraged. By garden party, we mean choose summer-y colors over formal colors (black) if possible. Ask us if you are unsure!
The Bridesmaids will be wearing sage green dresses and the Groomsmen will be wearing tan suits, but we will not be offended if you wear these colors too.
There will be an open bar, but just beer and wine. The bar closes by 8:30. Please, please, please do not bring liquor to the venue or we could lose our deposit!
Heckin' yes.
We will be having a buffet-style dinner brought by Barrel & Boar BBQ in Lancaster, OH. For vegetarians/vegans, there will be smoked oyster mushrooms. There should be sufficient options for gluten-free or dairy-free people too. Please reach out if you have any concerns!
We plan to have a small cake for us and cupcakes for the guests. There will be gluten-free and dairy-free options. We also hope to have a fire and s'mores station, weather permitting.
There will be ample parking in a gravel lot directly next to the venue. If you are staying on the property, the venue is within walking distance.
No, sorry. You'll need to plan your own travel to the venue. Taxi services are extremely limited in this area, so we recommend you plan to drive yourself.
As much as we would love that, no the cats will not be at the wedding haha. We have plenty of have friends and family lined up to watch the cats while we are gone for the wedding and honeymoon. It will be the longest we have ever been apart from them :(
