Aaron and I have known each other since we were around 3 years old. Aaron’s sisters, Amy & Megan, were close in age to my brother Paul. So often times my mom would bring me with her to pick Paul up from school. With Aaron’s mom Deb being the high school nurse, I would see her and Aaron often. Fast forward a few years, from kindergarten all the way through senior year, Aaron and I were good friends. After a few flings in high school/ college, Aaron reached out one last time in 2022 and the rest was history.

Aaron and I flew to Hilton Head Island for what I thought was just a weekend getaway. Little did I know, he was planning to propose! Proposing has to be anxiety inducing in itself, but to make matters worse, Aaron didn’t have a ring! Aaron found out two days before we flew to SC that my first engagement ring had been stolen from the jeweler. With help from the jeweler, Aaron was able to get a new ring over night shipped to SC. On August 24th after an anxious morning waiting for fedex to arrive, Aaron finally had a ring to propose with (plus a few back up rings from Amazon, special thanks to my MOH, Julia, for making sure we had options!) I still at this point had no idea why he was acting so weird, and chasing the fedex man down the street. Fast forward a few hours later Aaron had planned a “special private dinner” for us. Aaron insisted we walk on the beach before our reservation. I had a fleeting thought that maybe he was proposing, but the thought left my mind. After a short walk, Aaron asked if I loved him, and got down on one knee.
